Does Geechoo have Seller Review System?

Yes, the buyers can submit a review for any seller provided you have purchased the product. Under ‘Track Order’ you will see ‘Submit Review’ link and you can submit your reviews through that.

How authentic are the reviews?

Reviews can be submitted only if the user has purchased a product so the reviews you see are from actual buyers.

Does Geechoo share any data to third party?

No, we do not share any data outside of Geechoo and its partners. However, we may use the data to make your Geechoo experience better to:

  • Personalize user experience: Geechoo may use information to understand how our users are using the services and resources provided by us.

  • Improve our website: Geechoo continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback it receives from users.

  • Improve customer service: Users information helps Geechoo to more effectively respond to customer service requests and support needs.

  • Process transactions: Geechoo may use the information to process an order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.

  • Administer a content, promotion, survey or other website feature: Geechoo may use this to send users information that they agreed to receive about topics of their interest.

Absolutely! We use secure servers and robust code to keep yours and our data safe.

Is it necessary to have an account to shop on Geechoo?

Yes. Geechoo strives to make your shopping experience unique by connecting you directly to the Seller, giving you access to their Gallery and interact with Buyers across the globe via the Social Networking tool. You would have your own identity to both buy and sell with your account. Having an account will also enable you to manage your Settings, Orders and stay updated with alerts. Geechoo account will help you to reap the best of the benefits.

I have registered on Geechoo International (www.geechoo.com) site. Do I need to register again to login to Geechoo India (www.geechoo.in) site?

No, you just need one registration. However, you will not be able to setup a Gallery to sell in India. It is the same case with registering on India site and logging in to the International site.

How can I create my account on Geechoo?

Creating your personal account in Geechoo is simple and easy. Fill out the Registration details on our ‘Home Page’ and click, ‘Register’. An activation link will be sent to your email id and after verification, your account will be immediately active.

What if I forget my Username/ID or Password?

You can retrieve your password by clicking on the ‘Forgot Password’ link. You will receive an email to your registered email id with your Username and a link to change the Password. By clicking on the link, you can change your password.

Can I shop without creating an account?

No. Geechoo provides a lot of tools to make your buying experience as easy as possible and you can contact and ask the Sellers questions, directly. And, in order to provide all these amazing features, we will need you to login.

Does Geechoo have Seller Review System?

Yes, the buyers can submit a review for any seller provided you have purchased the product. Under ‘Track Order’ you will see ‘Submit Review’ link and you can submit your reviews through that.

How can I browse the products listed on Geechoo?

All products listed in Geechoo are featured on the ‘Home Page’. Each product will be represented with a name, an image, name of Seller and price. Once you click on a particular product, it will show all the details, product description, including Shipping and other policies of the Seller. You can click on a particular product and you can check out all products of that particular Seller by clicking the ‘Visit My Gallery’ on the right-hand column.

Can I search for a particular Seller or category by name or location?

Yes. You can search with a particular product category, Seller name or Seller gallery name.

Is there any restriction on the number of products purchased?

No. You can purchase as many products from one or more Seller(s). You can purchase a maximum quantity of 50 of each product.

How do I pay for purchasing a product?

You can pay through any of the options- Credit/Debit Card, Mobile and Internet Banking. All payments (done through www.geechoo.in) are secured through our payment partner, Citrus. Please click here for more details on Citrus.

All US and International payments (done through www.geechoo.com) are made through PayPal. Please click here to know more about PayPal.

Is there an option of COD (Cash on delivery)?

No, currently we do not have the COD option. You will be notified once this feature is launched.

Does Geechoo provide EMI option?

No, currently we do not an EMI option.

Will I come to know of any available/seasonal offers or discounts by email or SMS?

Yes. You will receive the information on your registered email id and registered mobile number(only for India).

How do I know if my order is confirmed?

As soon as you complete a purchase by confirmation of payment, you will receive an email with all details in your registered email id. You will also receive an SMS alert (only for India).

How do I track my order?

You can track your order on the Geechoo website with details provided by the Seller(s). You can use the "Track Order" in the navigation menu to monitor your order status.

How do I cancel my order?

The Cancellation Policy is different for each Seller(s). Please contact the Seller(s) for their respective Cancellation Policy.

What if the product is out of stock?

You can contact the Seller(s) directly via the ‘Ask A Question’ feature.. Else you can also drop a message to Geechoo. We do not commit to any definite timeline as it depends on the Seller.

Can I change the shipping address of the order?

The shipping address cannot be changed once you have placed the order. Please ensure you choose or enter the correct address before final transaction.

Who pays the shipping charges?

The Shipping Policy is laid down by the Seller(s). Please go through it thoroughly before any payment. Sometimes, the Seller(s) might offer free shipping, but in most cases the Seller levies a charge.

Can I opt for gift wrap?

Currently, Geechoo does not provide ‘Gift Wrap option as we do not have the product in our possession. It is being shipped by the seller directly to you. However, you can request the Seller using the ‘Order note’ feature when you are providing your shipping details, for the same.

Do you deliver worldwide?

This is at the discretion of the Seller(s). Please read their Shipping Policy for details. With Geechoo’s logistics, delivery is ONLY done in India.

Should I be present at the time of delivery of the product?

Please refer to the Delivery Policy of the Seller(s) for the same.

What if I receive any damaged products?

For any damaged products, we recommend you contact the Seller(s) directly. You can also raise a complaint with Geechoo and we will try to resolve the issue. However, Geechoo will not be responsible for any outcome.

What are the shipping charges?

Are there any hidden charges?

What if my shipment is lost in transit?

How do I leave feedback?

You can review a Seller or a product, after you have purchased.

As a Buyer, how do I report a fraud seller?

We will do our best to ensure that only genuine Sellers are listed on Geechoo. But, in case of any issue, please feel free to drop a mail tocontactus@geechoo.com and we will try our best to resolve the issue.

Will my personal details like name and phone number be disclosed to the Seller?

No. Your personal details are safe and secure with us. You can manage what details are visible to others using ‘Settings’ in the navigation menu.

Does Geechoo save my credit card and internet banking details?

No, Geechoo does not save credit card details of the Buyer.

What is the Social Networking through Geechoo all about?

This is a unique feature at Geechoo, where you can make friends while shopping. Once you have your own account, you can make friends by searching (if they are already on Geechoo), follow someone on Geechoo, share your shopping cart, create a community of shopping friends from across the globe, exchange message, share reviews and recommend products.

Will my friends or followers able to see my personal details?

They will only be able to see the amount of information you want to show them. You can use ‘Settings’ to regulate the information.

How can I share my product to my friends?

You can share your product within Geechoo site or through Facebook, Google+, Twitter or via email.

Can I send messages to my group / friends?

Yes, you can send messages using ‘Messages’ tab in the navigation menu.

Can I add/refer a friend to Geechoo?

We will be glad if our community grows through you. Any new user needs to go through the Registraton process to get added.

Can I partner with Geechoo? If yes, what is the procedure?

How can I protect myself from any account and identity theft?

To protect your Geechoo account from identity theft, opt for strong passwords, do not share your password or card details with anyone else and change your password after a period of time. Make sure you do not respond to Spam mails and protect our device with security softwares. In case of any discrepancy, contact us immediately at contactus@geechoo.com.

How do I create a shop on Geechoo?

You need to register as a Seller with Geechoo by filling the Seller Form with all requisite details.

What are the advantages when I register with Geechoo?

Some of the advantages for the Seller are as follows:

  • Advertise and Showcase your products in one place.
  • Manage inventory effectively.
  • Sell with your own Terms and Conditions.

What kind of Payment options can I provide?

Currently, Geechoo is glad to partner with CitrusPay for all transactions in India and PayPal for all the transactions in the USA.

How am I payed?

  • If you are a Seller in India and have registered on www.geechoo.in, we need your bank details so that we can transfer the payment 10 days after the purchased product is delivered to the buyer.
  • If you are a Seller in USA or any other country apart from India, we need your registered PayPal email ID so that we can transfer the payment via PayPal 10 days after the purchased product is delivered to the buyer.

When will I get paid?

The Seller gets paid 10 days after the product(s) is delivered.

What can I sell on Geechoo?

You can sell any of your creative products through Geechoo. It can be art and art related products like Paintings, Home Décor, Furniture, Clothing, Artificial Jewelry, Toys, Sculptures, Handmade items, Antiques and similar categories. Any sale of restricted items is prohibited and any one deviating from the rule will be strictly dealt with. What is a ‘featured product’?

We believe that every seller has to be treated equally. And to provide fair and just policy, Geechoo has come up with ‘Featured Product’ option for free. Using our ‘Featured Product’, each seller will be able to showcase one product from his or her gallery which will be highlighted across Geechoo’s website. This can be a gateway to your shop and give the buyers access to your entire Gallery to browse through your other products.

Can I change the ‘featured product’ anytime?

Yes, you can change the ‘featured product’ anytime you wish. However, only one product is allowed to be listed as a ‘featured product’.

Should I have two accounts to buy and sell on Geechoo?

No, you can do ‘Buying’ and ‘Selling’ from a single account in their respective domain.

Should I have another account to access the US website?

No, you just need one registration. However, you will not be able to setup a Gallery to sell in India. It is the same case with registering on India site and logging in to the International site.

How to become a seller on Geechoo?

Click on ‘My Gallery’ and it will take you to a page, where you can apply to become a Seller. You will need to fill the form with all the necessary and requisite information like PAN, VAT, your policies. Then, you can upload your products with all necessary details. It is as simple as that!

What does it cost to sell on Geechoo?

Because of our low overhead costs, Geechoo is able to provide this awesome platform for very low fees. We charge a nominal commission of (3.5% + Tax) along with a payment gateway charge of (1.99% + Tax) to channelize your products through our platform. There is a nominal listing fee of 20 points (1 Point: 1 Paisa) per product which will be valid for 90 days or until the product is sold out. Know more about our fee and point structure by clicking here. It is easy to upload and sell on Geechoo and even easier to earn. Please Note : Points do not expire and the money for the points are not refundable.

Can I gift wrap?

You can give ‘Gift Wrap’ options for selected products. You need to mention the same when you are adding ‘Description’ for a particular product. Please make sure you clearly mention all associated charges.

Are there any hidden charges?

Is VAT mandatory for every product?

The Government of India requires every Seller to charge VAT. However, it is the Seller’s responsibility to check with a Tax representative or a Chartered Accountant to see if you are meeting the Government Rules and Regulations.

Can I edit my personal information/ bank details?

Yes, you can edit the details through the dashboard of your Seller account.

Can I sell Internationally?

Yes, you can if you have to have the necessary permit and Import-Export Code (IE Code) as per Government Regulation, in place to sell and ship Internationally. You can apply for the IE Code on the Government website. Click here for the website. If you have the IE code, then click on “Become International Seller” in the Vendor Form and fill in your code. We will then verify the code and will make it active within 48 business hours.

What are the requirements for selling Internationally?

You need to have valid IEC. Once you apply for ‘Become International Seller’, we will verify the code and approve your request.

What is IEC?

IEC stands for Import-Export Code, needed for selling and shipping outside India.

Are my details secure on Geechoo?

Your information is safe and secure and will not be shared for any external use. Relevant and necessary information is displayed on our website for the reference of the Buyer with your consent. All transactions are processed through our payment partner, Citrus. Click here to know more Citrus. For all International sales, transactions are processed through PayPal.

Does Geechoo provide insurance on the product?

Currently, we do not provide insurance. However, we are working with some Insurance companies and will update you as soon as we launch the feature.

How do I offer free shipping?

You can offer free shipping by clicking on the check-box which says ‘Free Shipping’, while uploading the product.

Does Geechoo provide logistics (Shipping)?

Yes, Geechoo is glad to partner with Delhivery for shipping ONLY within India. You can click here to know more about Delhivery. We will notify you as soon as we expand this service in other countries.

How much is the shipping cost if I choose Geechoo’s logistics?

Please click here to calculate the charges for shipping through Delhivery. It varies based on the delivery location and weight of the product.

If I choose ‘Geechoo’s Logistics’ for Shipping, do I have to drop the product somewhere?

As soon as your product is sold, Delhivery services (if you choose Geechoo’s logistics) will pick up your product from Seller’s registered pick-up location and deliver it to the Buyer shipping address.

Can I choose Geechoo’s shipping services and provide my shipping in India at the same time?

No. You can ONLY choose one option at this time.

How do I respond to Buyer’s questions?

Any registered user can ask a question to any registered Seller by clicking on ‘Have a question’ link under their profile name and the Seller will receive the message on their registered email id. Then, the Seller can respond to the question through the messaging service.

Can I offer Gift Vouchers to my buyers?

Currently, the option of offering Gift Vouchers is NOT AVAILABLE on Geechoo. However, we are working on this and will notify you as soon as we launch this option.

What do I do if my account gets deactivated?

Your account can be deactivated for various reasons. You can contact us at contactus@geechoo.com if you think your account has been deactivated, erroneously.

Few possible reasons for deactivation can be:

  • Too many complaints from the Buyer(s).
  • Product(s) listed are against Geechoo’s Policy.
  • Delay or Nondelivery of products .
  • Misuse of ‘Social Networking’ tool.
  • Abusive and/or racial comments.
  • Noncompliance to Geechoo’s Policies and Terms and Conditions.
  • Noncompliance to Geechoo’s Policies and Terms and Conditions.
  • Deletion of account by User.
